I read this in like three hours and I really really wish I wrote it. It's literary fantasy done perfectly. It's the kind of novel that leaves you empty and broken like the tides gone out but you know, you know, that just round the corner the world is a little more magical.

Started reading Piranesi but Sussanna Clarke, got to this passage:

And revised I'm gonna love this book. I also wish I'd written it.
